Summary/Abstract: The present paper examines the transformations of the labour market under the influence of Covid-19 for the period from the beginning of 2020 to the end of the second quarter of the same year. Special attention is paid to the active labour market policies which oppose the negative trends resulting from the crisis and improve employment opportunities. The recommendations from the International Labour Organization, the Organization for Economic Development and Development and European Union have been presented in connection with the management of the situation on the labour market and the overcoming of the crisis. The implementation of these recommendations can ensure to the affected countries a faster recovery and a more vibrant economic performance after the end of the pandemic.
