- Summary/Abstract:It is possible to say that religious radicalism has increasingly entered the world agenda in the process that started with Russia's invasion of Afghanistan. After the end of the years-long war in Afghanistan, there were radical religious groups, called mujahideen, who had fought against Russia. Osama Bin Laden, known as the planner of 9/11 events, is one of the legacies left by this war to the world. Founded in 1988 under the leadership of Osama Bin Laden, Al-Qaeda's attack on the twin towers in the USA managed to draw the attention of the world public opinion to radical religious groups and the Middle East. Over time, there have been differences of opinion within Al-Qaeda, and as a result of these differences, ISIS, a global terrorist organization, has emerged. ISIS, which has become a security threat at the international level in a short time, has lost its power in the Middle East as a result of Turkey's important operations today. In this study, the aims of religious radicalism, radicalization processes were analyzed, and the transformation process from Al Qaeda to ISIS was examined. As long as the processes leading to radicalization are socially addressed and measures are not developed, it is thought that such structures will continue to survive.

- Summary/Abstract:For many years, the civil servants were managed in line with the one-sided savings of the administration, and today they have been organized through unions and have had the opportunity to express their social and financial losses to the governments in an organized manner. Since their establishment, civil servant unions have developed significantly both in terms of public opinion and institutionally. With the increase of globalization and globalization, multinational companies have become more important, harming the bargaining power of unions, which have been preserved within national borders for a long time. In addition, unions have also suffered from the growing anti-union public opinion in some of the countries. The practices for the privatization of economic enterprises, which were initiated within the framework of the neoliberal policies followed in this period, are also one of the main reasons that weakened the strength of the union movements, whose organized labor force is predominant in public business environments like Turkey. In this study, we will discuss the general definition of the union in the first part, and we will explain the possibilities and structuring process of the trade union movement in the second part.

- Summary/Abstract:Kulliyat-ı-Tarikhi has the feature of being a corpus of important history books of the period. It is a historical work prepared by the period historian Hâfız-ı Abru (d. 1430) upon the request of the Timurid ruler Sultan Shahrukh (d. 1447). There are one illustrated and three unpictured copies of the work, which is handled within the scope of the illustrated history tradition, examples of which have begun to be given. Only two of the unpainted copies are illuminated. Only one copy, without illumination and incomplete, has survived. The illustrated copy of Kulliyat-ı-Tarikhi is currently in the Directorate of National Palaces of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, registered in TSM. B.282. Other copies are preserved in Istanbul Süleymaniye Library, Damat İbrahim Pasha (Nr. 919), Hekimoğlu Ali Pasha (Nr. 703) and Nuruosmaniye Library (Nr. 3267). The lack of many copies of the work mentioned in our study, as a world history, indicates that it was not adopted and gained popularity after the completion of Kulliyat-ı-Tarikhi, while it also shows that the text was actually written to meet the interests and purposes of Sultan Shahruh. In our study, the content of Kulliyat-ı-Tarikhi,the preparation process of the illustrated and unillustrated copies, and the codicological features will be evaluated.

- Keywords:Philosophy; function; philosophical problems; history of philosophy;
- Summary/Abstract:The problem of what philosophy is for or what its function is, is as important a problem as other major philosophical problems in the history of philosophy. Also, it differs positively from them in that it has some practical consequences. Traditionally, we see that philosophy is divided into two functions: philosophy as a theory of knowledge and philosophy as a social theory. These instrumentalist approaches argue that philosophy can have a direct impact on the world by carrying out missions such as grounding knowledge and bringing social change. On the other hand, there is an alternative approach that argues that philosophy should not be considered as a discipline that needs to be thought of in terms of its benefits it brings about. According to this essentialist approach, we should think of philosophy as a personal pursuit, a passion pursued in a way that is seperate from practical concerns. To see which of these approaches better reflects the nature of philosophy, it would be appropriate to look at the way it is currently applied and whether it can fulfill the traditional tasks assigned to it. This will show us that the essentialist approach is more preferable in the context of the problem of function than the instrumentalist approach.

- Summary/Abstract:Noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) occurs due to exposure to high-intensity noise. GBİK limits the communication skills of individuals. Therefore, it causes social stress, depression, shame, poor self-esteem and relationship difficulties in individuals. In addition to all these health problems, NIHL negatively affects individuals economically. Individuals with NIHL must use hearing aids to compensate for their hearing loss, and insurance companies do not fully cover hearing aid costs. In addition to workers, employers and national economies are also adversely affected by the NIHL. Insurance companies cover the health expenses of NIHL workers for life. In addition, in terms of countries, these workers with hearing loss cause workforce loss. On the other hand, employers may have to pay large compensations to workers with hearing loss. As a result, NIHL, one of the most easily preventable occupational diseases, causes loss of workforce, especially permanent health problems, serious compensation situations and ongoing health expenses. Hearing loss and all these negative situations can be prevented by raising awareness among workers about NIHL, incentives to use protective equipment and stricter health policies. Thus, the socio-economic of the workers, employers and states can be prevented from being economically adversely affected.

Although there are deficiencies in certain parts of the work, the fact that it is found as a single piece and especially the protection of the head allows us to evaluate the work. The Hecate statuette indicates the existence of local sanctuaries in the area. When evaluated together with the typological and iconographic features determined for the figurine, it is important to determine the belief structure and votive cultures in the region or settlement. The figurine most likely indicates its use either as a domestic cult or as a votive offering. The iconographic and stylistic evaluation of the Hecate figurine has been made, and it is considered suitable for dating to the first half of the 2nd century AD.

The industrial revolution is important in terms of the emergence of the concept of today's job employer in working life. It can be argued that the industrial revolution was a milestone in this context. On the other hand, working life has continued in the early stages of humanity, and the meanings given to work have been influential in the context of who fulfills the concept of work. The understanding of personnel management, which prevailed during and after the industrial revolution, had to be replaced by the understanding of human resources with both technological changes and changes in labor markets. This period, which is called traditional human resources management, lasted until the understanding of strategic human resources management. Along with all these developments, it cannot be clearly emphasized in the literature whether strategic human resources management fulfills its mission or which concepts replace it or will replace it. As a matter of fact, the concepts of sustainable human resources management, green human resources management, agile human resources management are used as concepts in today's human resources management perspective. In this context, the study was carried out in order to reveal the relationship of strategic human resources management with the concept of sustainable human resources management and to explain the concepts.

- Summary/Abstract:Disasters have led to the loss of life and property, the destruction of civilizations and mass migration since the date of their occurrence. The phenomenon of disability can be internalized at the rate of awareness of the social groups with which the disabled individual interacts. Disabled individuals in society experience problems in the fields of poverty, education, rehabilitation, transportation, physical environment and housing, accessibility. In this study, it is aimed to deal with the effects of disasters on people with disabilities. A disabled person who continues his life without encountering any difficulties in the society he lived in before the disaster may fall into a disadvantageous situation by encountering problems such as restriction of movement and access as a result of the deterioration of the existing environmental and social order due to the disaster. Individuals who are stigmatized in the social life before the disaster may not be included in the disaster management processes by being ignored. Disabled individuals who are not taken into account in pre-disaster planning and risk reduction periods and who do not participate in the process as a stakeholder experience greater problems in disaster situations. Disabled individuals face many difficulties before, during and after the disaster. Difficulties faced by persons with disabilities; Disruption of support networks such as family, friends, caregivers, damage or loss of devices such as wheelchairs, prostheses, orthoses that assist mobility, difficulties in accessing emergency assembly/shelter places and early warning or general warning messages. As a result, although the way the society is affected, the severity and the responses they can give to the impact are different, the disadvantaged groups that will be most affected are the disabled. In case of being affected by disasters, individual differences can be seen in the level of being affected. Disabled people should be asked for their opinions and needs analysis should be done for these differences that will occur according to the disability status. Especially in disaster action plan studies, it should be ensured that disabled people are a part of the preparations.
