Summary/Abstract: The Centre for Foreign Language Teaching at the University of Warsaw is the largest language teaching unit at the University of Warsaw. It occupies a very important place in the University System of Foreign Language Teaching. Over the course of 70 years, it has educated generations of students. The Centre not only provides language education, but also prepares and conducts certification exams and certifies the language proficiency of the examined. The Jubilee Book published by the University of Warsaw Press to mark the 70th anniversary of the Centre talks about how the School used to work, how it works today and what are its future plans.
