Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the problem of the formation of emotional intelligence in children with developmental disabilities. The urgency of this problem, its connection with the development of mental processes in students is substantiated. The main idea of the article is that the shortcomings of the cognitive and emotional-volitional sphere can be gradually overcome, and in the future such a child will be able to study satisfactorily according to the curriculum of a mass school
