Summary/Abstract: The notion of multilingualism is relatively new in educational policy. Since it is multilingualism that decides on the coherence of the community, it is essential to value it first and foremost at school. The purpose of this article is to outline the main axes of the current educational policy and then present its implementation in the European and Polish education systems.
