Summary/Abstract: The paper gives prominence to the increasing need of growing interest in the issue ofregional education among scholars, as a holistic process which integrates individuals’ positiveattitudes towards the spiritual and material culture of their region. Moreover, it familiarizes thenatural, economic, social, political, cultural and historical landmarks. The authors of the articleinvestigate possible ways of the implementation of regional education into the pre-school educationprogram as a means of the formation of children’s sociocultural identity as well as the basicsof their intercultural competences.
