Cultivating regional traditions in preschool and early school education

Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to determine the degree of cultivating regional traditions ineducation implemented by kindergarten teachers and primary school teachers (grades 1—3)with reference to some of the conditions associated with education and work experience of therespondents. The scaling method has been applied in the study. The Scale Sheet devised for thepurpose of personal research contained 16 questions and addressed 81 preschool and early schooleducation teachers. The respondents answered the questions by means of applying adjectives froma five-degree adjectival scale, where the value of one indicated the lowest degree, whereas thevalue of five — the highest one. The research findings have revealed that the interviewed teacherscultivate regional traditions in their own professional work to high and moderate degrees.Certain differences in the results have been observed, due to the variables such as education andwork experience.
