Summary/Abstract: Cultivating cultural traditions in the era of globalization is of particular importance tothe cultural heritage of the community. It seems also of the essence to educate children withinthe scope of their cultural identity and prepare them to understand and protect their culturalheritage. Cultural education fits well among teaching tasks of the preschool. This article presentsa study investigating the knowledge of the preschool teachers from the Siedlce community. Theauthors analyze cultural traditions of the Southern Podlasie region and their use in working withyoung children.
