Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the implementation of tourism policy and its evaluation at the local level, particularly in terms of the tourism benefits for local stakeholders, incl. the possibility of evaluating these benefits. Based on the research of contemporary approaches to assessing the tourism benefits at the regional levels the paper points to their type, the same principles and differences as well. In accordance with the principles of sustainable development it is concerned with the economic, social and environmental benefits and points to the approaches to their evaluation. It also analyzes views on perceived or real benefits of tourism, respectively the benefits from realized regional tourism policy, on the example of two different stakeholder groups from the Czech Republic.
