Summary/Abstract: The article presents excerpts from original lessons promoting the teaching of Polish as a foreign language in the spirit of the communicative approach. The materials are intended for the first hours of teaching groups at the elementary level, assuming that for the students the main goal of the classes is to overcome the communication barrier as quickly as possible - grammatical correctness is a less important issue for them. The authors tried to show that from the very first lessons it is possible to learn and consolidate not only vocabulary and phrases, but also grammatical forms in dialogues close to natural, and that teaching grammatical correctness does not have to be inextricably linked with the so-called drill exercises, which usually do not activate students.
