Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the contribution is to familiarize those who are interested in multimedia and modern technologies in music education with the project “The Support of Digital Literacy Development”, in which The Department of Music at The Faculty of Education of Masaryk University participates. All the inputs and outputs of the project are presented, as well as the practical use of the outcomes. The paper also offers an overview on the current state of using multimedia in music education, which follows the research activities of The Department of Music including the latest research which focuses on music schools. Finally, certain news and recent options of use of multimedia and technologies for music teachers are pointed out. The study originated in framework of the project Podpora rozvoje digitální gramotnosti (CZ.02.3.68/0.0/0.0/16_036/0005366).
