Summary/Abstract: Wetlands are generally considered to be the most vulnerable ecosystems in the landscape. Over recent years, characterized by their continued decline, specific attention is paid to their protection. There are a lot of domestic and international projects, which are focused on ensuring effective protection of wetland ecosystems, based on a thorough knowledge of their internal structure and functionality. The aim of this paper is to point to the current landscape development of this protected site, focusing on an open water area, the existence of which is a prerequisite for preserving the biodiversity and conservation of this site.
