Summary/Abstract: The study is an introduction to a research into the processes and phenomena of genre formation in the Hungarian literature in Vojvodina. It analyses the aspects of the linguistic constitution of canal-, town-, family-, and cultural historical novels, principally the multicultural identity and phenomenon of translinguistic experience. It looks closely at accounts, essays, short stories, novels, poetic accounts, and emblematic poems that reflect on and elaborate this phenomenon.
