Summary/Abstract: Work under the influence of alcohol is a serious problem. Alcohol consumption leads to reduced quality of performance, because it negatively affects perception, coordination, communication and cognitive processes. The paper is focused on identifying of attitudes and practices regarding the use of alcohol in the workplace. A asample of 145 employees completed self-reported questionnaire focused on attitudes towards alcohol consumption at work as well as drinking with colleagues after work, on the availability of alcohol in the workplace, the existence of rules governing the use of alcohol in the workplace and drinking at work too. Nearly three fifths (57.2 %) of respondents reported that their organization sometimes provides alcohol to employees. A quarter of respondents (24.2 %) admitted that last year more than once they drank alcohol in the workplace. It is needed a clear policy in organization in relation to alcohol in the workplace and at the same time, not to create conditions for the occurrence of this negative phenomenon.
