Summary/Abstract: Desalination of seawater is already a fact. In the 21st century, the main goal is the extraction and production of fresh drinking water. In this summary we will consider the different methods for its desalination. As the main method we will consider the reverse osmosis. The types of membranes and their role now and in the future.
