Summary/Abstract: In the digital world, the accelerated shift to online shopping is fundamentally changing consumer behavior. The main goal of the present study is to present theoretical approaches for understanding and evaluating online grocery purchases and on this basis to carry out an empirical analysis of Bulgarian consumers. The survey respondents are individuals from Bulgaria, and the collected data on their budgets refer to the period 2012-2022. The research hypothesis is analyzed using the method of linear regression and correlation through statistical software – IBM SPSS Statistics. Main information sources are Eurostat and the National Statistical Institute. On the basis of the achieved results, the attitudes and expectations for change in the patterns of online grocery purchases by consumers in Bulgaria are determined.
