Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the succession of social media accounts. The author aims to describe the phenomenon of succession of account rights and to analyse the legal provisions that could potentially regulate the phenomenon in question. He first analyses the applicability of the common law of succession by interpreting the provisions of the Civil Code and using a comparative method. He then moves on to analyse extra-Codex sources of law, such as the RODO or the legislation of other European countries. Finally, the author describes the rules on succession arising from the rules of procedure created by social networks.
