Summary/Abstract: The focus of this report is to uncover and trace Chile’s experience in building and refining a fully funded unemployment insurance model. The review provided an insight into the architecture of the unemployment insurance system based on individual savings accounts and how it is harmonized with the unemployment solidarity fund. Emphasis has been added on the organizational structure and changes that have taken place over the years in order the insurance model to be improved.
