Summary/Abstract: This chapter aims to reflect on the methodology of research carried out in jurilinguistics or legal linguistics, i.e. a discipline which draws upon both law and linguistics. This contribution focuses on the autonomy of methods in jurilinguistics indicating its two sources: either the methods should be created to cater to its specific needs, or they should borrow from other disciplines, especially law. In effect, there is a need to triangulate various research methods. A wide range of research methods is illustrated by referring to studies done in the Department of Specialised Languages and Intercultural Communication, University of Lodz.
