Summary/Abstract: The research presented in this paper set out to investigate the strategies and approaches used in recruitment in the IT sector in Bulgaria and Switzerland. The study seeks to analyze the main differences in the approaches to the recruitment of companies in the Bulgarian and Swiss markets in terms of multiple differentiation criteria, focused on the recruitment and talent acquisition needs of the respective companies. The study takes into consideration the trends and phenomena in terms of social media content marketing approaches in both countries. The comparison of the approaches used includes the following key aspects: cultural differences, hiring practices, recruitment channels, legal and regulatory differences, salary expectations, work-life balance, and language requirements. The findings of the analysis indicate that the strategies of social media marketing of both parties are in their core similar, but fulfilling different needs, which is the reason for the discrepancies between their approaches. The results indicate that the Bulgarian market goes beyond the traditional means of recruitment and talent acquisition, while the Swiss market tends to stick to more traditional methods of personnel searching and hiring.
