Summary/Abstract: This paper explores some names of foods used by the Bulgarian-speaking Muslims from Xanthi region in the Southern Rhodopes. The study presents culinary terms from the everyday cuisine of this population, classified into thematic groups and subgroups. The main purpose is to perform a lexico-semantic analysis of the culinary terms, to emphasize the specific food realia and to emphasize some of their formal features. The dialect lexical data is excerpted from all available sources: dictionaries, previous studies, popular publications, and our own field studies.
