Summary/Abstract: Over the past 20 years, we have witnessed a significant expansion of the gambling industry, accompanied by the growing phenomenon of gambling and betting availability and accessibility. Availability is explained as the possibility of gambling and betting, while accessibility refers to the ease of entering the game in relation to proximity, time, and age restrictions. Vices industries vary in how open their markets are, with most being regulated by legal frameworks. Despite regulations aimed at limiting minors’ access to these vice industries, research shows that gambling-related problems are not uncommon among youth. During adolescence, engaging in risky behaviors is not unusual, often spurred by peer pressure and the need for self-affirmation. Gambling problems can lead to serious consequences, including strained interpersonal relationships, delinquent behavior, legal issues, the development of depression, and in some cases, even suicidal tendencies. As a result, there is a growing need for a deeper understanding of this problem and the development of effective interventions that can help reduce it. The aim of this paper is to provide theoretically and empirically based information on the problem of gambling among youth and present interventions aimed at addressing it. Additionally, the paper seeks to raise awareness about the importance of this issue and encourage further interest among professionals and the general public.
