Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the analysis of previous theories of morality, as well as the influence of family upbringing on the development of the moral component of personality. The system of values that currently dominates in society leads to an increasing need for the analysis of previous research and the study of the quality of family upbringing. Kohlberg and Piaget's theory of morality are the focus of the analysis, as they represent the basis for the interpretation of children's moral development. Given that the family plays a key role in the progress of the individual, the paper analyzes at all aspects of family education and its impact on child development. From an early age, society imposes certain norms, standards and rules of behavior, and parental competencies are crucial for raising children for life in modern society. Family is a key factor in the formation of a child's personality, his emotional development and socialization. Despite all the challenges, the family needs to find a way to fit into social changes while maintaining their own value systems.
