Summary/Abstract: The object of research in this article are the anthroponyms that have become precedent expressions in the Bulgarian language. We include personal names and surnames, as well as people’s nicknames. Names have become significant and are increasingly actively finding a place in the speech of Bulgarian. The majority of names are loaded with negative connotations and anthroponyms are mostly used in colloquial speech.
