Summary/Abstract: In the contemporary era, virtual space is undergoing a progressive transformation, with Industry 4.0 technologies providing novel opportunities for innovation and industrial development. The goal of this paper is to elucidate the concept of the „industrial metaverse“ through a systematic review of recent literature on the subject. The paper presents and discusses theoretical aspects of the metaverse and their development within Industry 5.0; working definitions of the concept of the industrial metaverse and its possible applications both in the present and in the future; and potential impacts on the Sustainable Development Goals. This research has the potential to contribute to the field of economic science by offering a different understanding of the concept of an industrial metaverse.
