Summary/Abstract: Contemporary needs of society and the rapid development of scientific and technical progress brought about vocational education new requirements, mostly related to the implementation of sustainable and mobile knowledge and competencies, a reform in education and vocational training must be linked to employment and meet the requirements and the pace of the changing labor market. Structural changes in the economy of Bulgaria at the beginning of transition to a market economy negatively impacted the definition of vocational training. Market economy principles dictate not only the labor market, but more tangibly and needs dictate, the type8and quality of human resources, mobility and training of the workforce. Socio-demographic characteristics of a region and opportunities for vocational training directly affect people sought refuge in the country by creating conditions for their inclusion in the labor market, to facilitate employment and more rapid integration.
