Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the following paper is to briefly trace the systemic relations between the agentive suffixes -telj and -l(a)c in standard Croatian language, the hypotheses for their occur-rence as well as their codification into the lexicographical production of regional Croatian literary variations and the normative recommendations of the Institute of Croatian Language and Linguis-tics.
