Summary/Abstract: The paper outlines procedures for valuing a property in which there are material traces of past cultural heritage. In Poland, such traces are under broad protection. The authors discuss existing legal provisions and the types of archaeological research. The importance of archaeological heritage in the investment process has also been highlighted.
