Summary/Abstract: Information technology and media play an important role in specialist language teaching. This should find expression in the teaching process. The aim of this article is their characteristics and an overview of various possibilities of their application. An attempt will be made to answer the following questions: how to get students, who are mainly concentrated on passive work, interested with a textbook, how to help a 21st century teacher in preparation of teaching materials, which will be attractive and easy in perception. How will the application of IT and media allow students to systematize their knowledge based on the latest easily available tools? It is worth to encourage teachers to keep up with the new generation, who can’t imagine life without the omnipresent Internet. The Internet which meets the needs of modern didactics. The article presents programs and websites with examples of their application.
