Summary/Abstract: The professional assistance of a career counsellor is crucial due to the unstable situation in the national and international educational and career market, as well as resulting dilemmas regarding decisions, as taken in this respect, by people who are at various stages of their lives, having different education, facing specific types and intensity of career problems. This article is of a theoretical and empirical nature; it aims to present: 1) the profile of a career counsellor; 2) the results of pilot studies carried out among unemployed people.
