- Summary/Abstract:The presented article consists of the analysis of work as a value in particular structures of social categories (physics, biology, praxeology, economics, medicine, technology, occupation). It characterizes human work aspects such as: technical and economic, psychological and moral, social and cultural. There is a presentation of five definitions closely associated with occupation, such as: professional work, work as a value, work features, occupation and its attributes, professional success, personal and occupational culture.

- Summary/Abstract:The social development of each individual functioning people who are important in the process of socialization. These may be, among others: parents, grandparents, teachers, colleagues or older siblings. The study, whose results are presented in this article focused on the role of these people in the life of high school students. The study was conducted using a test unfinished sentences. These results confirm the important role of peers and parents in the development of young people . Interestingly, it was also found that the less important role in this process have grandparents. May disturb little effect on the process of adolescence teachers of the young generation, as evidenced by statements of high school students.

- Summary/Abstract:The subject of the article is the attempt to specify the difficulties of students at the age of 50+ during the process of language learning, that have the influence on the efficiency of their education. The analysis covered the problems of the physiological, psychological and social character as well as the environment in which the seniors learn the language. The appropriate identification of barriers that the elderly people face during the language classes might contribute to the correct specifying of the right methods and creating such working techniques that would lead the didactic process to increasing the effectiveness within the area of practical foreign language use.

- Summary/Abstract:The article has been an attempt at demonstrating how important it is to consider the OAPs getting involved in educational and professional activity and how much strongly it is connected with getting adapted to the old age. According to the concept of activity, the activity is a condition of the emotional balance of an individual, it is a value appreciated by the society and it assumes taking up the activity considering the strength and the potential of the individual. With that in mind, educational and professional activity of the people aged fifty plus assumes various forms depending on the personal preferences and predisposition, or attitudes as well as the life itself before reaching the old age. They are also determined by many various factors the sources of which must be searched for in external factors. The analyses presented are theoretical and empirical in nature. The theoretical part of the article covers the importance of senior citizens being active in terms of getting adapted to the old age and successful ageing as well as educational and professional activity of senior citizens, as compared with other types of activity and its significance in active participation in social life by the elderly as reported in the applicable literature. Theoretical considerations have been extended with the analysis of selected results of own research reported by the author into taking up educational and professional activity by senior-age people in the Kujawy and Pomorze Province.

- Summary/Abstract:Nature along with its functioning way has become a role model for the modern scientists and engineers. This paper provides an overview of the most important interdisciplinary scientific disciplines, in which scientific studies, designs and innovations are inspired by solutions existing in the natural world. This paper – based on examples taken from the world around us – presents the basic methods and algorithms, which in their action refer to biological laws. Moreover, examples of innovative research directions and inventions imitating the functioning of living organisms have been presented.
