Summary/Abstract: Space technologies are an interesting and revolutionary, but also complex, interdisciplinary scientific and applied field of study, a significant part of the aspects and applications of which are not well known outside the narrowly specialized scientific community. This report aims to introduce the individual elements of space science and space technologies. Spacecraft, orbits for different purposes, and terrestrial space complexes have been explored. The following are the main strands of space science - aerospace, space physics, space meteorology, remote Earth exploration, space science and material production, space communication systems, space navigation and geodetic systems, space biology and medicine, space technology and security . Some of the "terrestrial" applications of space technologies are also explored, as well as some still debated issues such as the landing of Americans on the Moon. Naturally, a brief review of the historical development and the greater successes of space research and technology in Bulgaria is made.
