Summary/Abstract: Social capital (CS) can be defi ned as the capacity for social collaborationbetween different people for the benefi t of a group or colective, which is based on threemain sources: affection, mutual trust and concerted and effective rules that favor thedevelopment of social networks. These variables known theoretically for several years,but little have been determined in the heart of rural communities, much less have developedstrategies that favor their development in favor of promoting processes of linkageand technology transfer, which in rural daily life of various production systems (SP) andpanela are expressed through rejection and not technological adoption. Then, being partof the development of the community CS in the SP cane panela is also the responsibilityof agricultural technicians who are part of various productive intervention projectsfi nanced by the Colombian state through various sources. Based on this understanding,the results expressed in this article serve as a refl exive guide for other research groupsthat in the future perform SP interventions in the Colombian rural sector.
