Summary/Abstract: This paper analyzes the adaptation of the lexical field of health in Languages for Specific Purposes (LSP) in the European Union. It focuses on the comparison and contrast of two Slavic languages – Bulgarian and Polish. The study aims to point out similarities and differences in the syntactic and lexical structure of names of institutions and collocations; to follow the use of international lexical components in them; to trace the domination of the English pattern. The findings demonstrate a lot of variations in the collocations in both languages, which confirms that the process of term-formation is still ongoing.
