Summary/Abstract: There are two EU legal acts regulating the cross-border healthcare – namely the social security Coordination Regulations and the Directive 2011/24/EU on the application of patients’ rights in cross-border healthcare. The principle of equal treatment and the non-discriminatory criterion on the ground of nationality along with the risk of reverse discrimination in respect of the non-mobile patients compared to the mobile ones are problems of major importance to European doctrine and jurisprudence and thus special attention is paid to them in this report.
