Summary/Abstract: While analysing articles published on parenting websites the author focuses on the traces of taboo transformations. She reconstructs the acts of taboo reconceptualisation and identifies the areas of de‑tabooisation. The analysis is conducted by evoking cultural circumstances which accompany the transformations. The author distinguishes basic trends of the transformations and defines conventions which are created within them. Being aware of multimodality of the analysed communication the author pays particular attention to the sphere of signs in the discussed transformations, including the relation between image and word. Moreover, she observes that de‑tabooisation trends relate to the used code.
