Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to characterize the determinants of knowledge economy as the contemporary context of the tourist product quality. On this basis, the following tasks are set:defining the conditions of production and the development of a society in the economy of knowledge; identifying the specificity of the tourist product and shaping its quality through the prism of the quality-price relationship; presenting examples of the development of smart tourism specific features of the offered tourist product today.
