„Wynoszone z ciemności szkice węglem na skórze wydrapane”. On the literary work of Roman Sabo

Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the analysis and interpretation of the literary work of Roman Sabo – a poet, essayist, translator, born in Poland and living in Canada for many years. The author of the article “travels” mainly in the space of his poetry, trying to find there significant places, cities and states. Using the terms suggested by Małgorzata Czermińska, the author proves that Upper Silesia reveals itself in this output as an autobiographical place mentioned, Canadian Vancouver as an autobiographical place shifted, and Ireland as an autobiographical place chosen. All these places, however, are not isolated and completely homogeneous in the space of this creative proposal.
