Summary/Abstract: The main aim of this article is to determine how does the programmer’s culture work. The first paragraph concentrates on the definition of programming languages. Afterwards the author considers the cultural aspects of programming – the concept of algorithm and the reception of programming languages in the light of Sapir–Whorf hypothesis. The foregoing discussion has attempt to present the conception of homo logicus.
