Summary/Abstract: This article is focused on the presentation of partial results of the research VEGA1/0913/15: “Media literacy amongst the pupils of primary education”, in the context of the cooperation between the family and the school. It introduces the habits of pupils of 3rd grade in primary schools pertaining to/in terms of playing computer games, with an emphasis on the attitudes of parents to individual game genres. It analyzes the suitability of the most popular computer games which children play in Slovakia and probes the possible consequences of their effects.
