Summary/Abstract: The main problem considered by the author of the article is the relationship between photography and memory. The work presents several philosophical and philological concepts of discussing this issue. In addition, the article presents a summary and comparison of the theory of “reading” photographs of R. Barthes with the theory of J. Berger. The last part of the work presents interpretations of selected poetic works inspired by photography and treating their relationships with memory.
