Summary/Abstract: Article’s aim is to analyze ways of legitimization venery practices. It includes pointing out important for discourse its subjects’ acts, categories and values as well as reconstruction of meaning that is given to huntsmen by themselves and their community. The legitimization strategies reference to ethical‑axiological and specialistic discourses that combine in a concordant way and proceeding specific for venery discourse categories and patterns of behaving. Outwith the analyzed discourse area they interfere with ideologies of modern democratic societies.
