Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to analyse proper names appearing in Julian Tuwim’s poetry, with a special emphasis put on chrematonyms. As it is observed, they can be perceived as expressions of the poet’s critique of his times, particularly the development of civilisation and the attitude of society, which has become fixated on various types of novelties and technical amenities. What the author of the article also scrutinises are titles of chosen poems, taking into account their relations with the volumes they are found in.
