Summary/Abstract: In this article, the authors present presidential elections in Ukraine in the light of the selected weekly opinion periodicals in Germany, Poland and Russia. The purpose of this article is the characteristics of media coverage about the Ukrainian presidential election, the indication of associations and the specific features of each relationship. The basis of the theoretical analysis is defined by the manufacturing concept (ROBINSON 2001, 2002), media diplomacy brokers (GILBOA 2001) and epistemological assumptions of the press content analysis (PISAREK 1983, 2006). The authors present data obtained from the content analysis of the press in a quantitative and qualitative variant on the selected weekly opinion periodicals from Germany (“Der Spiegel”, “Focus”), Poland (“Newsweek”, “Politics”) and Russia (“Russkij Reporter”, “Profile”). Consequently, they point, among all, at the marginalization of the Ukrainian election in the examined titles and understanding of their role.
