Summary/Abstract: The article presents the connection between hygiene and progress in health resorts in Galicia in the late 19th century. Guide books, medical manuals described the influence of mineral waters, medical baths on the health of patients. Hygiene is a keyword, contained local behaviors related to physiology, health, sanitary situation, technical solutions, offering treatments bathing well-being of patients.
