Summary/Abstract: The climate change is emerging as a significant political, economic, financial and social issue. The researches present that carbon dioxide (CO2) accumulated by industry and agriculture, additional greenhouse gases contribute an increase average temperature. Possible consequences of climate change are a frequency of extreme temperature events (such as heat waves), intensity of storms, raise the level of sea and oceans. These changes significant impact on the economy, ecosystems and on the viability of nature and people well-being. The researchес address to finance climate change adaptation and mitigation. The sources of as European, Structural and Investment Fund (ESIF) and opportunities for investments from capital markets. The EU grants are used mainly for climate change mitigation than adaptation. Green bond issuance has grown significantly since 2007 with offering by the European Investment Bank (EIB), it is due to due to growth in the issuance of bonds by public and private institutions from France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Denmark.
