Summary/Abstract: This research is dedicated to the development of the banking sector in member states from the EU and Euro Area - Belgium, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands and France for the period 2007-2015. Author analyses main indicators of the banking system for the mentioned countries and time span. The article compares the dynamics of the financial indicators of the banks included in the analysis for the years between 2007-2015. The author presents main trends and conclusions for the banking sector in Belgium, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands and France.
