Summary/Abstract: The current study is based on real data for 306 projects that applied for funding in 2013. The study is related to the geographical topology of the consortium, in other words, the hypothesis that a specific territorial distribution of the required number of partners can lead to a successful project has been tested. In this regard, the optimal topological coverage of the European territory is derived to ensure the success of the project. The presented data is analyzed with the methods of graph and network theory and applied statistics, as well as the modern theory of complex neural networks and respective conclusions are made in the observed aspects, and the directions for development and continuation of the research are indicated.
