Summary/Abstract: The article shows the connection of Kondratiev's theory of long waves and the crisis of 2020 with the digital information revolution taking place in the modern world. It describes the cycles (patterns) of five long periods of development of the world economy, which have already taken place and were accompanied by recessions and rises, and also provides a forecast of the development of the leading sectors of the national economy in the context of the sixth technological order.
