Summary/Abstract: The following text is not only a contribution to the history of Polish glottodidactics in Warsaw, but also an introduction to further historical research on Polish glottodidactics, especially in the interwar period and the first years after the Second World War. Not only does it mark the 65th anniversary of Warsaw Polonicum, but also the 95 years of the first Polish class held for foreigners at the revived University of Warsaw.
